When did you start working with DMI and what did you know about the company beforehand?
On the 24th of December 2019, I used DMI as a specialist sub-contractor and also worked
with everyone previously at Scotshield.
Could you please describe your role and responsibilities at DMI?
As a Technical Director, I am responsible for developing, communicating, and presenting value in creating integrated solutions for our customers. I also bring technical expertise and commercial acumen in the preparation of large multi-discipline bids through to end-user presentation, receipt of order and handover to the installation process.
What are your ambitions for the future of DMI as an organisation?
To be recognised as the company to go to for large bespoke integrated solutions, a one stop shop.
What’s your best piece of advice for a young person looking to get into your profession?
Start with a good family business who will provide the right support for your ambitions. I started as an apprentice with a family-owned business back in the day.
When you’re not in the office, what are your hobbies?
Photography, DIY and travelling. I like taking pictures of historic landmarks and love the technical aspect of using different cameras, having come from an engineering background myself.
